Progression Programs

Developed for Tier 1 and Tier 2 players, TPH Philadelphia Progression Programs take place in the spring and summer.

With this unique offering tailored to dedicated, driven players, specialized on-ice training sessions take place for one hour, two times per week. Program participants will also use our Sports Performance Training Center before or after their on-ice training session. The curriculum utilized both on and off the ice is methodical in nature, with instruction designed to support players in preparing for a specific outcome, such as tryouts and training camps.

Progression Programs perfectly supplement an individual’s spring and summer training regiment and a springboard to participating in other TPH Philadelphia hockey experiences during the off-season, when champions are truly made.

Are you ready to take your hockey skills to the next level? Method Hockey's Spring and Summer Progression Programs are designed to help you do just that. Our comprehensive programs combine on-ice skill development and off-ice strength training to create well-rounded, competitive hockey players.

Proven Curriculum
Our curriculum has been developed and refined over years of experience and has helped numerous TPH players reach the NHL. By enrolling in our Progression Programs, you'll be following in the footsteps of successful athletes who have benefited from our expert coaching and training.

On-Ice Skill Development

Our on-ice Skill Development clinics are an 8-week progression program that meets twice per week. Each session builds upon the previous one, ensuring that you're continually improving and mastering new skills. Our experienced coaches will guide you through drills and exercises that focus on:


Stickhandling
Shooting
Passing
Skating
Game awareness
Off-Ice Strength Training


Our off-ice Strength Training sessions take place immediately before or after your on-ice sessions. You'll train in our state-of-the-art strength training facility, using proven techniques to increase your strength, speed, and agility. Our strength training program will help you:


Build muscle
Improve power
Increase endurance
Prevent injuries

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I just drop in for a session?

If our spots are filled we will not allow others to sign up so that we have enough space on the ice to do the necessary training. 

Which days of the week will the off-season training groups be?

The skills clinics for each age group and corresponding off-ice session will be 3 nights per week in the spring in the evening and the added team ice session will most likely be on a Friday.  It will not conflict with our Spring 3v3 league.  Times will be released in January 2023
